Deputy Constable David Joubert

Deputy Constable David Joubert was killed in a motorcycle accident while escorting a funeral procession on Cullen Street. Deputy Joubert was traveling in the left lane when a vehicle in the right lane attempted to make a left hand turn and pulled in front of his motorcycle.
He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries approximately one hour later.
Deputy Joubert had served with the Precinct 7 Constable's Office for 3 years and had previously served with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office for 10 years.

Senior Corporal Victor Lozada-Tirado 
Dallas Police Department Texas

49 Year old Senior Corporal Victor Lozada-Tirado was killed in a motorcycle accident while providing a dignitary escort for a United States Senator who is a candidate for President.
The motorcade was traveling on Houston Street when Corporal Lozada-Tirado's motorcycle struck a curb and crashed. He was transported to Methodist Central Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Corporal Lozada-Tirado had served with the Dallas Police Department for 19 years. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Deputy Michael Sean Thomas 
Bibb County Sheriff's Office Georgia

32 year oldDeputy Michael Thomas died of injures he sustained one month earlier when his Department motorcycle collided with a pickup truck.

Deputy Thomas was on patrol April 26, 2008  traveling west on Emery Highway. As he approached the Lakeside Road a pick-up truck pulled out in front of him. Deputy Thomas struck the truck and was thrown from his motorcycle. He was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he died May 25, 2008 from his injuries.

Deputy Thomas had served with the Bibb County sheriff's Office for eight years.

Lieutenant Robert Curry 
Gulfport Police Department Mississippi

Lieutenant Robert Curry 39 was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 49 in Orange Grove. The driver of another vehicle turned in front of his department motorcycle, causing the collision.
Lieutenant Curry had served with the Gulfport Police Department for 14 years. He is survived by his wife and two small children. His wife also serves as a lieutenant with the agency.

Sergeant Michael C. Weigand Jr.
Latimore Township Police Department Pennsylvania
 

Sergeant Michael Weigand was killed in a motorcycle accident while escorting a benefit ride involving the Blue Knights motorcycle club.
An oncoming pickup truck lost control on Route 234 and veered into Sergeant Weigand's lane, striking him head-on.

Sergeant Weigand had served as a part-time sergeant with the Latimore Township Police Department for 6 years. He also served full-time with the Eastern Adams Regional Police Department. He is survived by his wife, 4 year-old daughter, and parents. His father serves as the agency's police chief.

Sergeant Robert Douglas

Sergeant Robert Douglas succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident five years earlier.

His police motorcycle was struck by a car on Saturday, July 26, 2003, Sergeant Robert Douglas was then thrown into the path of oncoming truck. He had remained in a coma from the time of the accident until succumbing to his injuries.

Sergeant Douglas is survived by his wife and 6-year-old son.

Deputy Chris Yonkers was killed in a motorcycle accident while conducting an undercover narcotics investigation. As he drove to a location to perform a drug buy, another vehicle turned in front of his motorcycle on Route 43, near Usborne Road.

Deputy Yonkers had served with the Barry County Sheriff's Office for 12 years. He is survived by his wife and five children.
