Deputy Sheriff Brandan Hinkle

Deputy Hinkle was killed after his police motorcycle was struck head-on by another vehicle while he was on routine patrol. Deputy Hinkle was training to be a motor officer and was riding behind his training officer when the accident occurred. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Deputy Hinkle had been with the agency for 11 years and is survived by his wife

Police Officer Craig Schultz
Kansas City Police Department, MO
Officer Schultz was killed in a motorcycle accident on I-29 while responding to another accident. During his response his motorcycle went out of control when it struck a wet spot on the roadway.
Officer Schultz had been with the agency for 11 years and was survived by his wife and two young daughters.

Acting Chief Dan Dalley
Fruita Police Department, CO
Acting Chief Dalley was killed in an on-duty motorcycle accident while responding to a hospital after receiving reports that his six-month-old son was in the emergency room. While driving from the department his police motorcycle struck a vehicle which made a left hand turn in front of him at the intersection of U.S. Highway 6 and M Road. He was transported to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition for four days before succumbing to his injuries. Chief Dalley's son was released from the hospital later in the day after being treated. Charges were pending against the driver of the other car while the investigation is completed.
Acting Chief Dalley had been with the agency for eight years and was survived by his wife and four young sons.

Captain Tommy F. Bernal
Fairfax County Police Department, VA
Captain Bernal was killed when his motorcycle was struck head-on by a vehicle while he was conducting a training excercise with several agencies near Front Royal, Virginia. He was riding on Route 649, a winding and hilly country road, with members of Fairfax County and Arlington County motor squads. The unit in front of him lost control on a curve and swerved into an oncoming lane. A vehicle in that lane swerved into Captain Bernal's lane to avoid colliding with the unit and collided with Captain Bernal as he crested a hill.  Captain Bernal had been with the agency for 29 years and was survived by his wife and three sons.

Patrolman Rodney Kendricks
Lubbock Police Department, TX
Patrolman Kendricks succumbed to injuries received in a motorcycle accident one week earlier. He was escorting a funeral procession and was attempting move ahead of the vehicles in order to block traffic when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck.
Patrolman Kendricks had been with the agency for 12 years and was survived by his wife and two daughters.

Police Constable Malcolm Walker
West Midlands Police Force, Birmingham England
It is with regret that  Police Constable 9090 Malcolm Walker of the West Midlands Police Force, Birmingham England has been killed in the line of duty. 
On Thursday the 4th of October 2001 PC Walker whilst on Motorcycle patrol, observed a stolen vehicle in front of him. The officer persued the vehicle which in turn rammed him off the road and pushed him into some traffic railings causing him to die from the injuriies sustained. The offending vehicle made off from the scene and was later fond burnt out. A murder investigation has been impossed. 
PC Walker served with the force for near on twenty years and leaves a wife and three children behind.

Sergeant Shelby Dean Blackfox
Cherokee Nation Marshal's Service, OK
Sergeant Blackfox was killed in a motorcycle accident while en route to meet a drug informant in Delaware County, Oklahoma. The motorcycle he was riding went out of control as he negotiated a curve. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Sergeant Blackfox had been with the agency for seven years and is survived by his wife and child.

Police Officer Michael Johns
Coppell Police Department, TX
Officer Johns was killed in a motorycycle accident while making a traffic stop near Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport. As he attempted to pull the vehicle over his motorcycle collided with a third vehicle. He was flown to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Officer Johns had been with the agency for ten years
