January 06, 1964 Officer Ralph A. Minion California Highway Patrol, CA Officer Ralph A. Minion was killed when a motorist, trying to avoid rear-ending a slow-moving truck, swerved over the center divider and crashed head-on into Minion's motorcycle. Minion did not have a chance to swerve or brake and was killed instantly.

January 12, 1964 Sergeant William D. Huckaby California Highway Patrol, CA Sergeant Huckaby was killed in a motorcycle accident while attempting to rescue three small children who had climbed onto a slow-moving freight train. As he followed the train down the right of way next to the track he struck a cable which had been strung across the roadway. He succumbed to his injuries four days later. Sergeant Huckaby had been with the agency for seven years.

June 1, 1964 Officer Patrick K. Ihu Honolulu Police Department, HI Officer Ihu was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty.

August 12, 1964 Motor Ofc. Charles O. Woodworth CHP - Santa Rosa  Officer Charles 0. Woodworth was on patrol July 27, 1964 and had just pulled away from a stop sign when his motorcycle was struck broadside by an automobile. Woodworth sustained serious leg injuries from the impact of the crash, but his condition did not appear life-threatening. As he was recovering, Officer Woodworth suffered a fatal embolism attributed to the accident two weeks earlier.

August 14, 1964 Patrolman Edward C. Graziano Nashua Police Department, NH Patrolman Graziano was killed when his police motorcycle was struck by a vehicle on Route 3. The vehicle which struck was driving next to his motorcycle and then came into his lane. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Patrolman Graziano had been with the agency for three years and had been a member of two other agencies as well. He was survived by his wife and three children.

November 10, 1964 Lieutenant Raymond W. Bennett North Kingstown Police Department, RI Lieutenant Bennett succumbed to injuries received in a motorcycle accident in July 1961.

November 13, 1964 Patrol Officer Donald H. Kilbourne Indianapolis Police Department, IN Officer Kilbourne was killed in a motorcycle accident while chasing a traffic violator on North Meridian Street. His motorcycle struck another vehicle, causing serious injuries which he succumbed to three days later.

December 05, 1964 Police Officer Arthur J. Chorovich Arlington County Police Department, VA Officer Chorovich was killed when another vehicle struck his police motorcycle while on patrol.
