January 24, 1958 Officer Camile E. Madere California Highway Patrol, CA Officer Madere was killed when his motorycle struck a tractor trailer while he was on patrol. The truck pulled out in front of him from a side street, causing him to slide under the truck.

February 12, 1958 Officer Carl F. Chastain Tampa Police Department, FL Officer Chastain was killed in a motorcycle accident when his police motorcycle was struck at Cass Street and Rome Avenue. He had been with the agency for three years and was survived by his wife.

September 19, 1958 Police Officer Robert K. Nelson Baltimore City Police Department, MD Officer Nelson was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty.

September 30, 1958 Officer Richard Armijo Albuquerque Police Department, NM Officer Armijo was killed in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Second Street and Coal Avenue. He was responding to the scene of another accident when the accident occurred. The motorcycle was repaired and issued to Officer Max Oldham, who was killed five months later, when he was struck head-on by a drunk driver while on patrol. Officer Armijo had been with the agency for six years and was survived by his wife and three daughters.

November 13, 1958 Officer Lester G. Myers Metropolitan Police Department, DC Officer Myers was killed in a motorcyce accident when a driver made an illegal U-turn in front of him on Connecticut Avenue, NW. He had been with the agency for eight years and was survived by his wife.
