Patrolman Jenkins succumbed to injuries received from a motorcycle accident on Cleveland Avenue. He was found critically wounded in the roadway next to his motorcycle. It was assumed that he was forced off of the roadway by another vehicle.
He had been with the agency for two years.

Officer Grant was killed in a motorcycle accident on Loughboro Road, NW, while responding to a call.

Trooper Dobbs was killed when his motorcycle stuck a vehicle that had just been involved in an accident. Trooper Dobbs was thrown 15 feet and died from his injuries later that day.

Officer Ernest R. Nelson
California Highway Patrol, CA
Officer Ernest R. Nelson was patrolling on his motorcycle south of Salinas when a pick-up truck made a left turn and crossed the road directly in front of the patrolman. Nelson attempted to swerve and avoid the crash, but skidded directly into the side of the truck and was killed. The driver was arrested for negligent homicide. Nelson. 43. joined the Patrol in 1935 and was previously assigned to the Academy before he transferred to Salinas.

Policeman Brown was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty

Constable Frederick R. T. Blucher 
Ontario Provincial Police -  Port Credit 
PC Blucher died as a result of severe internal and head injuries suffered from a collision with a car while on motorcycle patrol on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Dixie Rd.   He transferred from the Department of Highway Motorcycle Patrol in 1930.

Officer Scott Vernon Smith
Monrovia Police Department, CA
Officer Smith was killed in a motorcycle accident during a pursuit of a traffic violator.   Officer Smith swerved to avoid striking two children who darted into the street in front of him. Officer Smith had been with the agency for four years and was survived by his wife and child.
