January 24, 1931 Officer Elber D. Warren California Highway Patrol, CA Officer Warren was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty.

January 28, 1931 Officer Clinton R. Rhodes Maryland State Police, MD Officer Rhodes was killed in a motorcycle accident at Washington State Road and Colonial Avenue near Westminster, Maryland. He had been with the agency for just under two years.

March 01, 1931 Policeman Henry C. Jackson Los Angeles Police Department, CA Policeman Jackson was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty

March 03, 1931 Police Officer Edwin Rassmus Peter Jensen Santa Ana Police Department, CA Edwin R. Jensen, was a thirty-four-year-old Santa Ana Police Department Motorcycle Officer who died on March 3, 1931, after crashing his motorcycle while chasing a speeding vehicle on east First Street in Santa Ana. The accident occured February 28. He had sustained severe head injuries in the accident and was taken to the Santa Ana Valley Hospital by citizens who had witnessed the accident. Officer Jensen was a thirteen month veteran of the Santa Ana Police Department at the time of his death.

March 04, 1931 Trooper Peter W. Ignatz New Jersey State Police, NJ Trooper Ignatz was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty in Morris Township. He had been with the agency for eight months.

June 28, 1931 Trooper Leonard P. McCandless New Jersey State Police, NJ Trooper McCandless was killed in a motorcycle accident while patrolling State Highway 4 in Berkeley Township. He had been with the agency for nine months.

July 31, 1931 Constable John F. Montgomery  Ontario Provincial Police - Westboro  PC Montgomery transferred from the Department of Highway Motorcycle Patrol in 1930. On July 31, 1931 while on motorcycle patrol, PC Montgomery was eastbound on Carling Avenue near the City of Ottawa. He was killed in a head on collision with a westbound vehicle while attempting to pass a car traveling eastbound.

August 19, 1931 Police Officer Osborn Asher Lyon Oakland Police Department, CA Officer Lyon was killed in a motorcycle accident while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle. He had been with the agency for two years and was survived by his wife and child.

September 22, 1931 Sergeant Burt Reeves California Highway Patrol, CA Sergeant Burt Reeves was patrolling in heavy Sunday traffic when his motorcycle was forced off a Marin County highway and he was thrown to the ground. Reeves was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries four days later. He had been a patrolman for six years and served as acting commander of the Mann Squad during the absence of the Captain. Sergeant Reeves was also a World War I veteran.

October 23, 1931 Patrolman A. J. Hedgpath North Carolina Highway Patrol, NC Patrolman Hedgpath was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol in Duplin County.

January 1, 1932 Officer Elmer C. Thoney  San Francisco Police Department, California Officer Thoney was struck by a vehicle and killed at the corner of Fillmore Street and Geary Street while on motorcycle patrol.  Officer Thoney had been with the agency for five years and was survived by his wife.
