Galveston Police Department, TX Officer Reegan was killed in a motorcycle accident while pursuing several suspects who were shooting at him. During the pursuit Officer Reegan's motorcycle struck a sign that was in the street, causing him to be thrown from the bike. He was survived by his wife and four children. |

Ontario Department of Highways Ontario Officer McGillivary was travelling on 12th Street and was crossing the Toronto-Hamilton Highway when he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown onto the pavement. He died in St. Joseph's Hospital. Officer McGillivary was stationed at Toronto. |

Evanston Police Department, IL Officer Omslaer was killed in a motorcycle accident when a vehicle made a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle. Officer Omslaer, who was riding in the motorcycle's sidecar, was thrown from the bike and received major head injuries. The driver of the motorcycle was also thrown from the bike but received only minor injuries. Officer Omslaer had been with the agency for 18 months and was survived by his wife and two sisters. |

Ontario Department of Highways Ontario Officer McKay was stationed at Newmarket. While in pursuit of a speeder near Holland Landing he lost control of his motorcyle and was thrown to the pavement. Officer McKay was killed instantly. |

Maryland State Police, MD Officer Noon was killed in a motorcycle accident while chasing a violator. He had been with the agency for 18 months. |

Victoria Police British Columbia Constable Wells was a motorcycle patrol officer on duty in the area of Hillside and Quadra on Saturday, 17th December, 1927, when he was fatally injured by a vehicle operated by an American visitor. Constable Wells was travelling through the intersection at approximately 0030 hours when he was struck by a vehicle that apparently fled the scene. Constable Wells was taken to the Provincial Royal Jubilee Hospital, and died on the 19th of December, 1927, never having regained consciousness. March 14th, 1928, at the Victoria Spring Assizes, the suspect, accused of driving the automobile that struck and caused the death of Constable Albert Wells, was found guilty. He was sentenced to four years in the penitentiary. Constable Wells had been a member of the department for only two years and nine months. At the time of his death Constable Wells was survived by his wife and 2 children. |
