Patrolman William Higgins
New York City Police Department, NYPatrolan Higgins was killed in an on duty motorcycle accident while assigned to the 13th Division.

Robert H. Halstead, motor patrolman,
Long Beach California Police Department
Making a fast run on his motorcycle, clearing the way for an ambulance carrying a patient to the Emergency Hospital, Robert H. Halstead, a fearless and expert motor officer, collided with a Pacific Electric train at Atlantic Avenue and Newport Crossing, May 6, 1926, and was so badly injured that he died in a short while after the accident occurred.
Halstead bore a splendid reputation in this community and stood high in the estimation of his fellow officers.

Trooper Gloor was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty. He had been with the agency for two years.

Police Officer Leslie O. Clem
Glendale Police Department, CA
Officer Clem was killed in a motorcycle accident while pursuing a traffic violator. During the course of the pursuit his motorcycle struck street car tracks, causing Officer Clem to be thrown from the bike. He succumbed to his injuries the next day.

Officer Earl A. Skinner
Metropolitan Police Department, DCOfficer Skinner was killed in a motorcycle accident at 21st and L Streets, NW, while responding to a burglar alarm. As he attempted to avoid a collision the motorcycle struck a curb and he was thrown from it, receiving fatal injuries. An officer riding in the motorcycle's sidecar received minor injuries.
Officer Skinner had been with the agency for five years and was survived by his wife and one child.

Michigan State Police, MI
Trooper Funk was killed when his police motorcycle was struck by a street car while assigned to the Clinton River Post.

Officer Macy was killed when his motorcycle collided with a fire truck during a call.

New Jersey State Police, NJ
Trooper Arrowsmith was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty in Pilesgrove Township. He had been with the agency for 16 months.

Policeman Davilla was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty.

Trooper Andrew J. Lawrence
New York State Police, NYTrooper Lawrence sustained a serious leg injury when the motorcycle he was operating was forced from the road near the City of Hudson. His leg was pinned beneath his machine and was so badly crushed that it was amputated at the Hudson City Hospital. He died five days after the accident from complications caused by gangrene infection. 
Trooper Lawrence had been with the agency for 4 years

Constable Arthur W. Mable 
British Columbia Provincial Police, British Columbia
Constable Mable was enroute to a fight call on his police motorcycle. He was involved in an accident and died two weeks later.

Traffic Officer William Clarence Dodge
King City Police Department, CA
Traffic officer Dodge was riding a motorcycle on Broadway (the city’s main street) apparently after a traffic violator. The driver of an automobile traveling in the opposite direction did not see Dodge and turned in front of him. Dodge collided with the automobile and died a minutes later of his injuries.  Ofc. Dodge was 26-years-old and left behind a wife and a baby boy that was born only days after his death.

Officer Lynn Reed McClintock
El Paso Police Department, TX
Officer McClintock was killed in a motorcycle accident while pursuing a liquor smuggler. During the pursuit Officer McClintock attempted to move from the motorcycle to the running board of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle intentionally swerved into the motorcycle and caused the accident. The suspect was later arrested.

Patrolman Irving M. Thorsvig

Date of Incident: Sunday, August 29, 1926

Patrolman Thorsvig succumbed to injuries received two months earlier when he was involved in a motorcycle accident on the old Bothell-Seattle Highway. His motorcycle slipped on the brick surface and the handlebars struck him in the chest, causing internal injuries.

Motorcycle Officer Alfred E. Dunn
Appleton Police Department, WI
Officer Dunn died from wounds received in a motorcycle accident. On June 19, 1926 Officer Dunn was chasing a speeder when his motorcycle his uneven road he was thrown from the bike. He was treated for injuries to his arm and knee. The injuries were not considered serious at the time.
On November 10, 1926 Officer Dunn was admitted to the hospital with pain in the areas of injury. The doctors discovered that poisoning had set in to the injuries and surgery was preformed. Officer Dunn’s condition worsened until his death on November 2, 1926. 
Officer Dunn had been with the agency for six months and had several years of law enforcement service with various other agencies. Officer Dunn's father a Hortonville; Wisconsin Village Marshall was killed in the line of duty in 1924.

Patrolman John Goralczyk
Hamtramck Police Department, MI
Patrolman Goralczyk was killed in a motorcycle accident at Evaline and Charest Streets. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Patrolman Goralczyk was survived by his mother and brother, also a Hamtramck police officer.
