As Officer Lee entered an intersection an oil truck pulled out in front of him. The impact caused Officer Lee to be thrown from the motorcycle into a lightpole, killing him instantly. Another vehicle was attempted to yield right of way to another police vehicle when it struck Officer Bell's motorcycle on Fourth Street. Officer Bell succumbed to his injuries the following day |
