Trooper Skiff succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident one week earlier when the sidecar he was riding in struck a trolley car in Ogdensburg.

Roanoke City Police Department, VA
Patrolman Fields was killed in a motorcycle accident while pursuing a speeding car. He had been with the agency for six months.

October 19, 1920
Paul Edward Buckley,  Homewood PD IL
Homewood PD Motor Officer, Paul Edward Buckley, was fatally injured on Dixie Hwy. in a collision with a large truck during a pursuit on October 19, 1920.  He was called to assist a State Police Motor officer in a pursuit of an auto that had broken thru a road construction barricade.   Officer Buckley was 26 years old and had been with HPD since 1916.  He was born in Tennessee and was survived by a wife and three small children.

Constable Robert R. Forster 
Victoria Police, British Columbia
Constable Robert Forster, a Canadian Army veteran of the First World War, re-joined the Victoria Police at the end of those hostilities. He was a member of the Victoria Police prior to wartime service and his brother, George Forster was also a Victoria Police Constable.
Robert was on duty as a "Motor Constable" on motorcycle duties in the area of the CPR Wharves in the inner harbour area of Victoria, BC on the 10th of November, 1920. He was accidentaly struck and badly injured by an auto and rushed to the local St. Joseph's Hospital.
Robert Forster was operated on and was joined at his bedside by his brother. Unfortunately, Constable Robert Forster succumbed to his multiple injuries at approximately 8pm the next evening, 11 November, 1920.
Robert was survived by his brother and his relatives in Ireland.
