Brock Hossack
1980 750 Honda Police
The bike was purchased
in the spring of 1980 for use by the city of Fredericton New Brunswick
Canada. It was in service for 15 years and accumulated less than 50,000km
(30,000 miles) shortly before selling the bike the motor was rebuilt by
a Honda dealer and the chain and sprockets replaced, however for city use
they were short geared. I replaced again with the stock ratios. Origionally
the city police cars were blue and the bike also was painted blue, as the
fleet was changed to white the color on the bike was changed. This was
approx 1990. The Honda was replaced by a Harley, which some officers find
to be less manueverable on two lane side streets. I have put only 3000
kms on it on the past two years but countless hours of polishing and cleaning.
