Great gas mileage, fun to ride, and very dependable. This was a retired bike from Austin PD, and then purchased by a movie company. This bike was used in the movie Sin City. I have done a lot of work to the bike to make sure it will get me there and back no matter where, I replaced all the rubber and gasket I could get to. I built a rider back rest and replaced the seat with a new one. All the lights and siren works on this bike, it runs great and looks great. I have built a passenger seat and backrest for this bike so it will work as a cruiser. I have also wired it so that you can use an ipod or a walkman for some good times tunes. I will consider a trade of equal value, she wants a boat. This bike is one of the best out there I have seen to that. I need to move this bike; any questions please email me or call 817-903-2634.

Bought a bike and had the the pursuit lights removed? Here is an alternative. These are rubber mounted light housings. The come with either the spotlight bulb or the trapiziodial (fluted) pattern that spreads out the beam over a wider pattern. Those are the one I suggest.
Thes bolt right in. Bulb slips right in as well.
It also allow you to run clear bulbs, then if needed, push/slip into the plastic colored lense for parades, amber for fog lights or even LED bulbs and strobe lights of a different size that wont fit the factory metal housings. Comes with on pair of lights, one pair of bulbs, one pair or colored lenses. Can get the LED lights but they are much more expensive and will require a flasher. 06/26/08

1978 Kawasaki KZ 1000 Police Model C motorcycle.
16K original miles. The bike is complete, but I am taking the front end (windshield, fork ears, etc) and mounting them on a newer model bike. I will not be taking any switches or electronics. This has clean registration paperwork. It also has been stored for the last 12 years in heated storage. The engine still turns over, the gas tank is clean on the inside and has a key for the gas cap. The bike appears to have never been layed down as there is no road rash on the bag guards or the engine guard. I also have the OEM side covers. These are the same side covers on the KZ 900 Police bikes. The seat is in good shape, as are the saddle bags. The bags also have a working key, so I prefer to sell the bags as a pair, bit will sell seperate if need be. Bags are clean with out any cracks or damage! I have some parts from a 1989 KZ1000P for sale.
Basketweave driver seat good shape, all hardware, one small 1" tear in bottom corner.
Original rear shocks
Fairing with, storage bags and covers intake. Windshield is fair to poor with some scratches, pursuit lights removed and clear spots put in. No turn signals, used them for the custom work to the bike. Headlight intact and working.
Hard black saddlebags,(stock) with part the side and front bracket. The bags have the typical police ****s drilled in them. All price negotiable. 1999 KZ1000P18 Police Motorcycle. In running order. Only problems is the charging system has a short in it someplace and needs a little electrical work. It won't charge the battery so you put it on a charger at night. I have the voltage regulator for it (brand new) but with the short in the system the wires get hot when its plugged into the system. Needs a carb job though. Pics available on request. 11/02/07
